Bats pose serious health hazards to humans. They produce a considerable amount of urine and excrement which can grow a fungus that causes serious lung diseases. Also, a human is more likely to contract rabies from a bat than any other animal. If you are bitten by a bat seek medical attention immediately, as rabies is fatal if not treated right away.
