Raccoon Removal

Raccoon Trapping & Removal

Raccoons are becoming increasingly problematic in Seattle and the Puget Sound. There has been a growing number attacks on pets from raccoons in the past year. Also raccoons carry diseases such as rabies and roundworm and if they gain entry into your attic or crawl space they can destroy insulation and electrical wiring.

Our wildlife team are experienced and fully licensed Washington State Wildlife Trappers. Your raccoon problem can be solved in our four step process.

Step 1. Inspection

A thorough inspection of the home is conducted not only to identify the entry points but to assess damage to insulation, ducts, and other structural damage. If there is a nest in the attic or crawl space it is treated with a synthetic predatory scent which acts as a natural repellent. Also at this time live cages are strategically placed to capture the raccoon.

Step 2. Professional and Humane Raccoon Trapping

Once the raccoon is captured we pick it up and euthanize it. According to Washington State law raccoons cannot be relocated due to disease control and transmission. Euthanization is fast, painless, and humane.

Step 3. Repairs and Exclusion

Repairs are made to structural damage and entry points are sealed up to exclude animals from re-entering.

Step 4. Decontamination & Restoration

In many cases, the attic and crawl space is damaged. Raccoons leave their waste and debris and this needs to be cleaned up and removed. After all the waste and damaged insulation is removed the infected area is thoroughly sanitized and deodorized. Damaged heat ducts are replaced, new insulation is installed where damaged insulation was removed, and new vapor barrier is laid down.
